Holy Qurbana is one of the sacred Sacraments, one of the spiritual means to eternity. It has the deepest spiritual effects on life. Those who take in Holy Qurbana, the body and blood of Christ, are entitled to be abiding in God. By receiving Holy Communion a faithful is eligible for Salvation, Remission of sins and Everlasting life. The Holy Communion is a renewal of our covenant with God.

I was shocked to hear that Mr. Yesudasan Jacob had passed away in a time which was quite unexpected. He was a good and faithful servant of God working in His vineyard, the Holy Church. From the very early days of his life he devoted his life to Christ, promoting the Gospel by teaching, preaching and writing books. He was a firm Orthodox believer who took the Gospel, faith and traditions of the Church very seriously. He had visited various parishes in the American Diocese - visiting our Church, St. Gregorios Church, Philadelphia and giving a sermon during the Holy Qurbana.
The sudden demise of Mr. Yesudasan has created a great dent especially in the sphere of laymen’s ministry in the Church. The Church is always in need of devoted laymen to work for God and the Church. The laity can perform Christian ministry as effectively as the ministry of the clergy and Mr. Yesudasan had well proved it through his life.
The Great Master called His servant to His presence and thus Yesudasan took his place of rest there. On behalf of the St. Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church, Philadelphia, my family and myself, I convey our sorrows and condolence to the bereaving wife, children and their families. May God give them peace.
K. Mathai Corepiscopa
Vicar, St. Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church, Philadelphia
